Rosewood São Paulo
[Your words — what it feels like to walk into that penthouse, the room you’d ask for, and who you’d send here.]
For ten years I’ve been the person people call when the hotel has to be right. This is where I finally write them down.
No algorithm, no endless lists. Just the places I love, the rooms I’d ask for, and why — a new page as often as I find one worth sharing.

No algorithms and no endless lists. Every page is one hotel I adore, the room I’d ask for, and the little things that make the stay.
Chapter One is my top ten in Europe for 2026. Fall for one, tell me, and I’ll arrange it for you myself.

“The red walls, the tiles, the lemon trees, that view. Nothing on the coast comes close.”
It began as the Sersale family’s summer house and opened as a hotel in 1951. Seventy-odd years later it still feels like staying with very stylish friends: Pompeian red walls, hand-painted tiles underfoot, lemon trees indoors and every balcony hanging over the bay.
My tip Have a spritz at Franco’s Bar at sunset, then dinner by candlelight at La Sponda. Book both the day you arrive.
the bits you won’t find in the brochure x

ask for a terrace like this one
Don’t settle for a balcony here. A suite with a terrace means your own loungers, lemon trees and the whole of Positano spread out in front of you, from first coffee to last glass of wine.
“Some hotels you visit. Le Sirenuse you fall in love with.”
Positano, every summer I can x

“Old Riviera glamour that has never once gone out of style. You walk down that long lawn to the sea and the whole world goes quiet. ”

It was built in 1870 as a private villa, became a hotel in 1889, and in 1914 added the Eden-Roc pavilion and that famous seawater pool blasted into the rocks. F. Scott Fitzgerald wrote it into Tender Is the Night , and it has been the summer address of the Cannes Film Festival crowd ever since.
What I love is that it still feels like a private estate: acres of pine forest running down to the sea, white cabanas on the rocks, and staff who remember how you take your coffee by day two.
My tip Book a cabana on the rocks for the whole day, and ask for a candlelit dinner down by the sea on your last night. It is the most romantic table on the Riviera.
pack something white x

wake up to this view
The main house is beautiful, but the rooms down in the Eden-Roc pavilion sit right above the water. You open the doors and the sea is there, with the pool a few steps away and nothing between you and the bay.
“Some places are worth the hype. This is one of them.”
